Termination of Import Tax Exemption for Goods Under 1 Million VND via Express Delivery – Challenges and New Opportunities for the Logistics Industry

Abolishing Decision No. 78/2010/QĐ-TTg - The new decision emphasizes strengthening tax management, eliminating the causes of trade fraud, and ensuring a healthy business environment for domestic enterprises. From February 18, 2025, Decision No. 78/2010/QĐ-TTg on import tax exemption for goods valued under 1 million VND sent via express delivery services will officially be abolished, following Decision No. 01/2025/QĐ-TTg recently issued by the Prime Minister.
- Decision No. 78/2010/QĐ-TTg (November 30, 2010) allowed import tax and VAT exemptions for imported goods valued under 1 million VND.
